'Soft Play areas for safe playtimes' To help reduce knocks and bumps in the playground, an important aspect of providing a safe play environment is the installation of a high-quality, impact-absorbing surface.
Playtime Canopies soft play areas are designed to meet Health and Safety regulations and help reduce the amount of accidents due to falls from playground equipment. The surfaces come in a range of colours, and for added value we can incorporate games or create patterns to provide hours of cost effective fun
Wet-pour soft surfacing
Wet-pour is mixed on site and poured into place. It is completely porous and is composed of rubber granules mixed with polyurethane binder to give a strong, firm chemical bond. The base layer (impact absorbing layer) is composed of thick, chunky rubber granules, while the top layer of smaller granules is screeded and hand rolled to provide a tough wearing course. It can be laid on top of existing Bitmac or concrete areas providing that they are porous and well draining. In new construction, the wet-pour is laid directly on top of a MOT type 1 stone base, without the need for an expensive layer of Bitmac or concrete, unlike other types of surfacing such as tiles.
